Predator Energy Partner with the WFFA to Empower Street Football Communities Across Africa

The local Freestyle Football communities in Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda and Egypt will see their National Championship taken to the next level thanks to the support of the Predator Energy Drink.

Barcelona – August 20th, 2024 – The World Freestyle Football Association, together with acclaimed energy drink brand Predator Energy, trademark of Monster Energy Corporation, have announced their collaboration to elevate four National Freestyle Football Championships in Africa and support their local communities in taking their competitive scene to the next level.

The four countries included in the partnership are Nigeria, Kenya, and Uganda (together with Predator Energy), as well as Egypt (thanks to the support of Fury Energy). The agreement will allow these four tournaments to feature not just an electrifying Grand Finale for both male and female freestylers but also a touring regional activation in several locations across each of the countries to further excite and engage local football communities.

A core component of the project will be the education and mentoring of 100 community leaders (Football coaches, NGO workers, and teachers) within each country who are working with 18 year-old and above. The WFFA FsLife Development training course will equip all community leaders in attendance with the resources and ability to build self-esteem and entrepreneurship through football within their communities.

The dates and locations for the National Freestyle Football Championships are as follows:

    • ●  Nigeria: Lagos, 21st September 2024

    • ●  Egypt: Cairo, 9th November 2024

    • ●  Kenya: Nairobi, 29th November 2024

    • ●  Uganda: Kampala, 6th December 2024

The Nigerian Freestyle Football Championship will feature an online qualification process for registered participating freestylers, to determine the sixteen male and eight females who qualifies for the finals in Lagos.
And though registration for the online qualifiers has concluded, a unique opportunity has been created for more people through the PREDATOR WILDCARD ENTRIES for eight additional participants to make it to the finals in Lagos.

This will happen through a four-city touring regional activation where one male and one female participant will qualify from each of the four cities.
